Andrew and Melissa are husband and wife, and co-owners of the Physical Development Center. Both grew up playing sports, and later received their Exercise Science degrees (Melissa from Lockhaven University, and Andrew from Temple University). The couple started Rock Steady Boxing- Lower Bucks, a non-contact boxing exercise program for people with Parkinson’s disease, in 2018 while renting space from local karate studios. They started the Physical Development Center in September of 2020 with the goal of building a home for their Rock Steady boxers and local athletes. Over the last few years, they have seen their community continue to grow, making it necessary to find a bigger home. As of Summer 2024, PDC is in it’s new 10,000 sq ft facility located in Warminster, PA.

Melissa graduated from Lock Haven University in 2013 with a BS in Exercise Science. After college, Melissa worked as a personal trainer, as well as, managing multiple local gyms before starting Rock Steady Boxing- Lower Bucks. Melissa is one of our personal trainers, Rock Steady Boxing coaches, and a Co-Owner of Physical Development Center.

Andrew graduated from Temple University in 2011 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. He has spent the last 15 years in the fitness/ sports performance industry; helping weight loss clients, people with special needs (including those with Parkinson’s Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Spinal Cord injuries), and high-level athletes, including multiple professional football and baseball players. He been published twice for his work helping athletes return to the field more quickly following injury. He is one of the co-owners of Physical Development Center.

Sean was a four-year letter winner in football and track and field at Ursinus College where he earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. Sean has extensive college football experience, working with the South Carolina and Averett University football programs. While at Averett, Sean obtained his Master’s in Business Administration. Sean has spent the past 9 years working as a Program Director and Sports Performance Coach, working with hundreds of local athletes, including countless Div. 1 and professional athletes.

Chris Linso

Chris graduated from LaSalle University with a Master’s degree in Elementary and
Special Education. After earning her First-Degree Black Belt in Muay Thai, she wanted
to combine her love of teaching and physical fitness. Chris began working with Melissa
and Andrew in February 2018 as a certified Rock Steady Boxing Coach. From there,
she went on to earn several certificates, specifically in Personal Training (August 2020),
Parkinson’s Disease Fitness Specialist (April 2021), and most recently in Hatha and
Vinyasa yoga as a certified yoga teacher, CYT-200 (August 2024).

Alec graduated from Temple University in 2019 with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. Following multiple knee surgeries and extensive therapy, Alec got into the field of Kinesiology aspiring to use his personal experience to help others prevent injuries. Starting as an intern at the opening of Rock Steady Boxing- Lower Bucks in 2018, Alec quickly discovered a passion for working alongside those with Parkinson’s Disease and became a certified RSB Coach later that year. Since then, he has helped hundreds of boxers through group sessions and private workouts designed to slow the progression of the disease.

I received my B.S. in Health and Exercise Physiology from Ursinus. I coach travel volleyball and have coached at the collegiate level. I have been personal training and coaching sports performance since graduating two years ago.

Wendi has her Nursing Degree from Gwynedd-Mercy University and her Master’s from LaSalle University. She later went on to work in the school district as a nurse for nine years. In 2019, she joined the Rock Steady Boxing family when her father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. She wanted to help her father, and others like him, fight back against PD. Wendi has been an RSB Coach since then!

Unique Features and Facilities

PDC has a spacious, open-layout design including a 3,000 sq ft strength training area, and a 3,000 sq ft sports performance turf area for speed and agility training, sled pushes, and medicine ball work. There are also two studio rooms, as well as changing rooms available for members.

Top-Notch Fitness Equipment

At PDC, the strength area is filled with free weights and racks such and barbells, dumbbells, and kettle bells. The sports performance area includes sleds, medicine balls, battle ropes, Assault AirRunner and Assault Bike.
